DIRECTOR JOB INTRODUCTION & RESPONSIBILITIES
Directors at iDS have a doer/seller role with an expectation to develop and expand business as well as provide expertise and project leadership in the areas of Digital Forensics, Cyber Security & Information Governance, Litigation Readiness, Structured Data Analytics, and Discovery Services. This role will work collaboratively with Business Development Managers (BDMs) to expand our footprint, driving growth and revenue in those areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct sales and business development on major projects and accounts, expanding and developing existing book of business.
- Provide high-level project expertise and team management for iDS consultants and contractors on designated projects
- Lead and direct execution of multiple, small to large scale eDiscovery-based investigations
- Provide advanced client consultation to e-Discovery practices and protocols
- Develop high-level strategies for successful project implementation
- Design and develop client proposals (including detailed Statements of Work)
- Review project proposals / plans to approve time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of ongoing projects.
- Efficiently identify and analyze project issues and provide viable solutions. Successfully monitor project activity on multiple engagements
- Serve as a mentor and coach to project team members to ensure high quality of work and project documentation
- Lead a team and client through the expert testimony process, including serving as a testifying expert
- Serve as the strategic expert on multiple engagements
- Collaborate with Business Development Managers (BDMs) on business development and marketing strategies to land and expand projects/client accounts
- Participate with internal operations activities and develop relationships with external channel partners to allow maximum efficiency and to ensure timely delivery with quality standards
- Participate and present in speaking engagements, conferences, seminars, trade shows and related promotional activities
- Provide support to other Directors and oversee utilization across group
Additional Responsibilities:
- Attend bi-monthly, quarterly and annual company meetings.
- Provide informal and formal coaching to team members through continuous feedback on project work

Professional Qualifications
- Degree or experience commensurate with level – MBA / JD preferred, but not required
- A minimum of 1 certification in the field of expertise is strongly preferred
- At least fifteen (15) years of hands-on experience managing small and large-scale matters from case strategy through testimony; professional services or law firm environment strongly preferred
- Experience managing and consistently meeting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and sales metrics identified by the company.
- Advanced experience working with major electronic discovery tools and platforms.
- Proven ability to proactively engage in business development activity through warm and cold prospects including sales calls, client pitches, CLEs, speaking engagements, RFPs, etc.
- Proven ability to manage, mentor, and develop team members through formal and informal coaching and feedback
- Proven ability to hire, mentor, train, and lead a diverse work team, developing an organization-wide strategy for project excellence
- Ability to lead a team and client through the testimony process, including serving as a testifying expert
- Exceptional problem-solving, reasoning and analytical skills
- Proven capabilities in change management, project management, and process improvement
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization

DISCOVERY SERVICES CONSULTANT (DSC) JOB INTRODUCTION & RESPONSIBILITIES
The role of the Discovery Services Consultant (DSC) is to serve as an eDiscovery resource to clients and case teams by identifying appropriate eDiscovery workflows, ranging from the simple to the sophisticated; hands-on execution of the work; and establishing project management best practices. The Consultant has responsibility for assigned projects including; definition of plan, monitoring and communicating progress, creating and tracking budgets, managing client satisfaction, and management of assigned teams ensuring projects meet all project management standards. This position works alongside the SME Directors and Engagement Managers throughout the various phases of the e-Discovery lifecycle ensuring adequate communication between teams and with clients.
Essential Functions:
- Serve as an eDiscovery resource to internal teams and case teams by assisting in the troubleshooting of Discovery Services projects
- Under supervision, troubleshoot on work in Relativity, including, without limitation, creating standard and custom indexes; search term development, iteration and optimization; using data elements to further cull data (e.g., file types, file names, number of recipients); using Relativity’s suite of Analytics tools, including email threading, clustering, categorization, and active learning; creating searches of varying complexities for specific requests; using the RDC where necessary; validating sets of documents to be produced; and creating productions
- Effectively employ basic eDiscovery technologies and search skills (including developing terms, iterating on terms, and optimizing terms)
- Assist in the development of Project Plans for Discovery Services projects including the scope strategy, project schedules, calendars, budgets, and tasks
- Closely monitoring project/case status and providing routine status reports including task completion reports and data delivery schedules
- Provides professional and timely communication between client and internal operations
- Performs basic legal and factual research (including paper and electronic sources) when necessary
- Utilizes support of Engagement Managers to establish priorities and meet deadlines to ensure project accuracy and timeliness
- Assist with electronically stored information (ESI) agreements and other documents that relate to the discovery phase of litigation
- Revise current procedures and lead innovation in discovery / eDiscovery
- Develop and manage the implementation and execution of new processes and initiatives to improve efficiency, accommodate new types of data
- Participate in Business Development (BD) activities such as sales and client kick-off calls

Job Qualifications:
- Degree or experience commensurate with level; PMP or ACEDs certification or formal education in Project Management preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of project management and eDiscovery consulting experience within a professional services environment or vendor
- Demonstrated technical knowledge of Project Management Methodology, Product Development Life Cycle and Design Controls
- Solid understanding of the electronic discovery process including, but not limited to, data identification, collection, restoration, and production
- Experience using eDiscovery processing and hosting tools; iPRO, Nuix, Relativity required
- Experience and exposure to industry analytics tools is strongly preferred (Relativity Analytics, Brainspace, etc)
- Experience using a CRM tool; SalesForce preferred
- Candidates must possess impeccable problem solving, reasoning and analytical skills with a solid understanding of core project management principles, particularly in providing litigation support services
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, effectively managing many details

MANAGING CONSULTANT JOB INTRODUCTION & RESPONSIBILITIESThe iDS Forensics Team is located in Washington, DC, Costa, Mesa, CA, and Atlanta, GA. The Managing Consultant will be a senior team member expected to work out of the Washington, DC office to help manage the lab and deliver technology related client services in the areas of forensic data collections, data extraction, data processing, as well as digital and forensic analysis. This person is also a critical component to the training and mentoring of junior team members.
Essential Responsibilities:- Provide mentorship and training to junior team members in DC
- Contribute to Lab Coordination responsibilities including: ensure forensic software is up to date; document policies and procedures; update hardware and inventory assets
- Use data mining tools to search, sort, and organize large amounts of electronic information
- Deploy off-the-shelf and proprietary data collection, analysis, and reporting tools
- Responsible for receiving, documenting, storing, transferring, and returning evidence for forensic analysis and production
- Maintains inventory control procedures for all evidence and oversees the release, destruction and subsequent paperwork of same
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of applications used for data management and storage
- Provide technical solutions to automate processes and functions
Additional Responsibilities:
- Attend team and company meetings on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or experience commensurate with level
- A minimum of 6 years of experience collecting and analyzing forensic data; professional services experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding and application of forensic tools such as EnCase, FTK, Cellebrite, Axiom, Oxygen, etc.
- Proven ability to collect and analyze data from various media including: desktops, laptops, tablets, cell phones, social media, etc.
- Proven ability to maintain appropriate documentation such as Chain of Custody (CoC)
- Certification in 1 or more tools preferred (EnCE, FTK, GCFE)
- Willingness to travel and meet position needs outside of regular business hours
- Experience supporting expert testimony a plus (i.e., declarations, depositions, expert reports)
