Mark, our Manager of Discovery Services Engineering, is a driving force at iDS. As an expert in managing and leading projects, he contributes to the smooth workflow for our Discovery Services Processing & Hosting Analysts. His journey started in 2009 when he became involved in eDiscovery, mastering various processing and hosting tools.
Mark’s educational background in both computer engineering and commercial photography as well as his proficiency in digital media have positioned him as an authority on digital forensics, evidence investigations, and multimedia content enhancements. His extensive programming skills, including languages like C++, C#, Java, VB, and Python, enable him to develop and adapt tools for our work. Furthermore, the sharp sense of strategy he developed through his love of chess has only strengthened his analytical skills in the discovery world. This skill set is advantageous in the discovery process, where anticipating obstacles is a key component.
In fact, if Mark isn’t sharpening his skills, he’s likely exploring another learning opportunity, as he often says, “When you stop learning, you stop living.” This philosophy aligns with his dedication to iDS’ growth. His continuous pursuit of knowledge allows him to stay ahead of technological shifts, enabling him to successfully navigate emerging trends. Mark is committed to creating a workplace atmosphere that encourages collaboration and growth, allowing team members to reach their full potential. His involvement also includes a proactive approach to hiring, training, mentoring, monitoring, and performance management for both new and existing team members. Determined to stay up-to-date on the latest developments in the field, he can identify emerging opportunities and design strategies to leverage them to iDS’ advantage. This, in turn, helps him remain a leader in the space.
