Open-Source Intelligence & Digital Investigations
Bill is a seasoned practitioner of open-source intelligence gathering and analysis (OSINT) and deep web research, applying these capabilities to corporate internal investigations, due diligence, asset tracing, and threat assessment.
He combines forensic preservation and acquisition of digital evidence with advanced data analytics to build a complete picture of what happened, who was involved, and what it means for his clients.
Federal & White-Collar Investigations
Bill has assisted clients and outside counsel in investigating a wide variety of potential violations of federal and state statutes, including computer fraud and abuse, trade secret theft, aggravated identity theft, counterfeiting, export controls and trade sanctions, foreign corrupt practices and public corruption, theft from labor unions, and organized crime and racketeering.
His time as Chief of the Major Crimes Section at the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Colorado gives him an insider’s understanding of how federal investigations are built, and how to defend against them.
